Each participant in turn gives a short presentation about himself/herself.
Comment
Because of its simplicity this is by far the most common way introductions take place in groups. It is quick and can also be used in larger groups. But a major drawback to this method of introduction is that in most instances much of the information is not perceived by the fellow participants because they are busy thinking about what to say when their turn comes.
The trainer has to be prepared to prevent participants from getting carried away and going into too much detail, otherwise the process will take up too much time and people will become bored. A number of guiding questions written down on the board can be helpful for keeping the presentations to the point.
