Outline
Preparation
The trainer prepares cards or strips of paper with key words that relate to the course’s content (one key word on each card) and spreads them on a table.
Activity
The participants walk around the table and each chooses one word that attracts his/her attention. One participant begins by explaining why he/she chose this particular word; he/she gives some background about himself/herself and tells how this word relates to his/her background. Whoever feels a connection to something the previous person has said continues by presenting his/her own chosen word and something about his/her own background.
Comment
In order to ensure enough choice, the trainer should prepare at least twice as many key words as there are participants.
Participants should only select one key word.
